Canada Geography: What rock types in Western Cordillera?

    Igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary are all found in parts of the Western Cordillera

    It all depends where in the Cordillera you are looking
    You can find Granite (Igneous)n the Sierra Nevadas and Colorado Rockies
    In the Grand Canyon in Arizona, you can find Sandstone, Shale, Mineral, Schist and various igneous intrusions (first 3 sedimentary, Schist is metamorphic)
    Basalt (igneous) can be found in the Columbia Hand basin
    Travertine (sedimentary) is found in Yellowstone
    And those are just a few of the rock types found in the USA segment of the Western Cordillerra
