    i delight in rock too

I delight in plenty of rock, soft rock, and techno.

I’ve never heard people call me weird for it, or maybe it’s just because I hang out with others who delight in the same types of music as me, most of them happen to be black

  • Jukebox Hero says:

No. Delight in rock music. It’s for everyone.
And it was invented by black people. So you’re basically going back to your roots. : D

I listen to whatever I feel like listening to. My parents don’t care, my dad’s black and he listens to whatever too. No one I know thinks that I’m weird for it. Go ahead and listen to what you want it’s your decison not theirs.

  • Reverend Master of Curses says:

I like all different types of music too. If that’s weird, I’m pleased to be weird. From my point of view it’s weird for people to let social pressures keep them from enjoying many different types of music.

  • Short, Fast, and Loud says:

Hell no. Rock is the best genre out there (to me anyways).

Rap and Hip-Hop can take a flying leap.

I reckon that’s fantastic! But, if you have the ability to see beyond your skin affect and live like a human and make your own choices beyond a narrow minded microcosm then you are not a ‘black man’. You have finally transcended to a person, and to be specific for what’s specific for you personally, one happening to have a dark complexion. Do you get what I mean? Congrats!

Im black and I listen to all kinds of music but I do not like Hip hop and r&b. My pet band is Slipknot, so if I come to school in one of their shirts people are, like “wtf”. I dont see why people should listen to “black music” because their black, or “white music” because their white. You should listen to what you delight in and keep an open mind. It really annoys me when people are ashamed to tell what they really like because they feel like they have to stick to a racial stereotype.

  • truth says:

we invented it and we can like watever

  • Honesty says:

No, it’s not weird. You don’t have to like rap cos youre black but whites like rubbish music normally. I mean Country?! Damn!

  • R3dn3ck_R3b3l_1982 says:

No, but I do reckon it’s weird that black women (or any women, for that matter) listen to rap when most of it degrades them.

  • Puppy Lover says:

Do people reckon its weird for white people to delight in different types of rock music? How about the person I just read who doesn’t like country? Is he right? Incorrect? Excellent grief, it is just a matter of personal taste isn’t it?

  • Miss USA Angel Suspended says:

Who cares what people reckon listen to what you want

  • Tara R says:

most people i know listen to rock music, not primarily but still

  • 0,000 says:

Listen to TV on The Radio, that’ll confuse them.

  • Zumaria says:

No, not weird at all. For people who really like music, its the song that moves them, it doesn’t matter what race or genre it is.

Plus as many said early rock and roll was started by blacks. Later it altered to become the different kinds of rock that we have today. Look at some of the early rock greats. Jimi Hendrix was black, and he was a well-known rock guitarist back in the 60′s.

  • Elanshaw says:

From the looks I get from people when they hear the faint beats of Avenged Sevenfold coming from my ipod headset.
    Yes.
    Screw them..
I’m black and I like rock!

  • nenebby! says:

im half black&& i like linkin park , system of a down && stuff ..
