Len Lye – Kinetic Sculptures
This is an excerpt from 1987 Doodlin’ documentary. For more information about Len Lye please visit his foundation; www.govettbrewster.com This New Zealand born artist is an inspiration for me.
Yeah!
Len Lye rocks. Seriously.
I really enjoyed this video. I am an artist working in the U.S. in a similar style to Lye’s. What is interesting is that I only hear of Len Lye after I had been working in this style for years.
It would be great to have his vision of a 60ft by 90ft reconstruction!
len lye was clearly a genius
“and out of the end here comes a 25 million volt arc…”
RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!
iv seen universe and blade and others in person quite a few times.. but that doesnt really mean much if your from new plymouth cause govett brewster art gallery always seems to have a len lye thing or 2 on display.. at the momment its his photograms i believe
umm

Check “About this video”, right side of the video. I put the link there.
whats the sites adress?
Doodlin’ is not available in DVD but go to his foundation web site and you will find other interesting films. Flip and two twisters is very good.
Is this likely to be on dvd somewhere? I’d love to see the rest..
Len Lye was one of the greatest abstract artists on the 20th century!
fantastic, len lye is one of my favourite artists. gotta love that ‘flip and 2 twisters’ at the end!
