I have searched for sculptures of the Greek Goddess Athena and haven’t found any. I’m thinking that the sculptors at the time didn’t depict her in that style, or thought she should look a certain way and thought “She would never be depicted in that style.” Why’s this?

I am doing a project on Greek sculptures and i need to know how many were made and how many are still intact

I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of an assignment for my global class. I’m curious why the noses were missing. My mom told me it was because the people that had first stolen the sculptures believed the person’s soul was in the sculpture, so they broke the noses off to release the spirit. However, much of what my mom believes is myth. So if you know the answer, please tell me and include a link if you researched it.

I need to make an Aphrodite (Greek Human Sculpture) for a friend. I was thinking of using Plasti-Rock, but I just found out it was taken off the market. I need some advise. I have never done something that size (5 feet tall) before. I am hoping someone out there has experience in this media that might be able to give me some advise and guidance. Please help.

In art class we are learning about Greek art. On all the sculptures the left foot is forward. Why not the right? Why is it always the left? My art teacher didn’t know.

I can’t find anything on the process of making the sculptures!
