What types of rock are the CANADIAN Rocky Mountains composed of?

sedimentary, metamorphic, igneous?

perhaps a combination?

If уου саn give аnу specific kind οf rock frοm thеѕе 3 categories, thаt’d bе fаntаѕtіс.

(e.g – quartzite)

To your first question, the answer would be a combination. Depending on what region of the Canadian Rockies you are talking about (ex. Front, Main, or Western ranges), you would get a different answer. But, as a whole, the Canadian Rocky Mountains are comprised of sedimentary and metamorphic rock.

To your second question, a combination again. Most of the rocks are made up of mineral, dolomite, and quartzite. Farther out west, you will encounter some shale, as well.
